Sell Your Comics to The Runs
We buy comics outright from collectors — keys, runs, slabs, and raw books. We are open to most material and happy to discuss lots that do not fit a neat checklist.
Your privacy
We will not share your collection publicly
Selling comics can feel personal — especially estate lots or long-held keys. Your information stays with us.
Seller details and collection contents stay private unless you explicitly ask us to reference something for a future listing.

Is selling to us a good fit?
If you want a straightforward buyer who speaks collector language, you are in the right place. We are flexible on material and transparent when something is not for us.
Good fit
- Graded slabs (CGC, CBCS, and similar) and quality raw books
- Keys, first appearances, runs, and mixed-era collections
- Small lots, long boxes, and larger estate-style collections
- Books you are ready to sell outright — we are not a consignment shop
Usually not a fit
- Non-comic items with little collector demand (posters-only lots, unrelated merch, etc.)
- Severely damaged books without disclosure — honesty helps us quote accurately
- Situations where you need a formal appraisal for insurance or legal purposes

What we buy
We typically buy a broad mix of comic books and are happy to discuss lots that fall outside a short list. When in doubt, send an email — the worst we can say is that it is not the right match right now.
- Marvel, DC, indie, and most mainstream publisher material
- Golden Age through Modern — keys and reader copies
- Graded and raw, singles and multi-book lots
- Oddball or mixed collections — if it is comic-related, email us and we will talk it through
Lot size
Individual books vs collections
Individual books & small lots
Perfect when you are trimming a personal collection or selling a few highlights.
- Clear photos of front and back covers
- Cert numbers for slabs; note major defects on raw books
- We can often give direction quickly after your first email
Collections & bulk lots
Best for long boxes, estate cleanouts, and larger accumulations.
- Approximate count and general eras (even a rough guess helps)
- Photos of representative books and any known keys
- In-person review often works well for larger Southern California lots
Process
How it works
- 1
Send us an email
Use our template below so we have location, quantity, and condition context up front.
- 2
Share details & photos
We may ask for follow-up shots, cert numbers, or a simple list. The more honest the notes, the smoother the offer.
- 3
Receive an offer
We provide market-informed purchase offers — not formal appraisals. There is no obligation until you accept.
- 4
Meet up & get paid
For accepted deals, we coordinate a local meetup in our service area and agree on payment method before handoff.
Local meetups
Where we buy in person
Email works from anywhere for an initial conversation. For in-person collection reviews, we are usually in the:
- Greater Los Angeles area
- Coastal Southern California
- San Diego area (considered for larger collections)
