We stand behind the authenticity and condition of every book we sell. Because many of our comics are one-of-one inventory, our return policy is tailored for collectors.

General policy

Most sales are final due to the unique, often single-copy nature of our inventory. We describe each book accurately using grading details, photos, and collector notes so you can buy with confidence.

If something is not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue.

Eligible return reasons

We will review returns or partial refunds in cases such as:

  • The item received does not match the listing (wrong book, issue, or grade represented)
  • Significant undisclosed damage not shown in listing photos or notes
  • Shipping damage that materially affects the book or slab (with documentation)

Non-returnable items

We generally cannot accept returns for:

  • Buyer's remorse or market value changes after purchase
  • Minor imperfections already disclosed in grader notes or listing details
  • Books removed from tamper-evident holders or altered after delivery

How to start a return

Email us with your order number, photos of the item and packaging, and a description of the issue. Do not ship anything back until we confirm return instructions. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Approved returns must be shipped back in comparable protective packaging. Return shipping may be the customer's responsibility unless we made an error.

Authenticity guarantee

Graded books sold through The Runs Comics are represented as authentic CGC, CBCS, or other stated certification. If you believe a graded book we sold is not authentic, contact us immediately with documentation and we will investigate with the appropriate certifying body.
